There are no gas shortages. The same people trying to spread the “no gas anywhere” meme are responsible for the pipeline hack, trying to spread panic and throw the US into disorder.

    Houston, TX.
As of this morning, the Exxon station in my area (SE Houston) has been at $2.49 for regular, for the past 5 days. The Shell station across the street went up 5 cents, to $2.59/regular, a couple of days ago. There have been no long lines, as well. If there's a gas shortage, it hasn't hit my area of town.

Been reading about gasoline shortages and general panic asshattery over that gas pipeline shutdown.
Seems to be mostly east of Texas.

    Y'all seeing any shortages?

Nothing to speak of here.(south of Houston).
Nope. Nebraska is flush with petroleum and petroleum products.

    Gunz are icky.
There is a Buc-ee’s down the road from my house.
They were at $2.55 gal until yesterday when they went down to 2.52.
No lines but heavy traffic at the pumps.

Not sure why anyone expected a shortage in Texas. The line takes gas out of Texas. We probably had a surplus, lol.

If it's here, and you can't ship it there, then duh. We got more than we need.
But, prices increase because, news, I guess.

Funny how Biden and the dnc, I mean news, kept saying everything was fine. Then as soon as the pipeline started coming back online the new headline is “ the crisis is over”

Don’t know why anyone believes their crap anymore.

My next-door neighbor back in Atlanta(RIP) was a lead engineer on the Colonial Pipeline build. I've got a fair bit of info they put out upon completion of the project.
I remember Jim saying it took 18 months to build back then and "you couldn't even buy the right-of-way in 18 months now!!!" This was in the early 2000s.
He came out of retirement to help parallel the Dixie Pipeline out of Florida.
One of the large tank farms is in Doraville, GA just a few miles away and interestingly, I lived just a couple of miles from the huge tank farm in Greensboro, NC. He had some pretty interesting stories, not to mention a fantastic grill on his patio that was made from the pipeline stock(a retirement gift).

The cost to truck that same fuel(petrol, diesel and kerosene) from TX to NJ would be astronomical compared to the pipeline. It's amazing how "we" can take that bit of infrastructure for granted.
