Has anyone else had a gas tube that doesn't seem to want to go in to the gas block. I'm thinking this one may be a bit out of spec. Any thoughts

I had a melonite finished tube that was a little tight, but went in with a little oil.

Put the tube in the freezer overnight. That may help.

Also you can heat the gas block with a hairdryer...

Update on gas tube. Got the gas tube in the block with the help of a local gun store. Jus th needed a couple of love taps to get it in place.

Never had that issue myself. Do they make more than one diameter gas tube?
As far as I know they don't make more then one diameter gas tube. Just sometimes one bad one slips by quality control. I've had a gas block with the roll pin holes for the tube just enough out of alignment that there was no way to get the pin installed correctly and had to go back to the store and and exchange the bad one for a good one. These things just happen. It just suck because my build time is usually in the evening when all the stores are closed

I had a gas block once that had the port hole drilled crooked. Gas tubes can be a tight fit, especially if the tube is coated interfacing with a parkerized block.

One of the most overlooked items is making sure the gas port in the tube aligns with the one in the gas block. Any restriction can cause short stroking.
