(Trying to start a fresh thread for the comments and pictures/vids that were captured....)

Had a blast today. Great to meet everyone that was there. Sorry I had to split right before lunch, but it had nothing to do with the cooking. The food smelled GREAT and I had a hard time convincing myself to leave, but we had prior commitments at 3:00, and I had to drop the kids off at the grandparents and pick up my wife beforehand.

    Thoughts and impressions....

Hicksville Gun Range was VERY accommodating. They told me they had asked a group that usually shoots on Saturday not to come out to ensure we had enough room. I am hesitant sometimes with others shooting around me and the kids, but everyone there was very trustworthy and I had no issues at all.

Elbe, thanks for letting us fire your XDm! I have handled them sometimes and thought they felt great, but first time shooting the weapon and I hit 17 of 19 shots. It was GREAT! Jonathon and Rebekah used the other magazine.

Youngun's 50 was freakin' AWESOME! I think Jonathon (at 14....for those of you who missed) had one of the best if not the best shot on the steel. He also liked Scap's suppressed .308, but said he shot it better without the can. Rebekah actually shot the suppressed .308 and really liked it. She was talking about it on the way home. She has an AR lower, and has not decided which upper to get.....wondering if I now need to get a trust setup so she can get a .308 and a can.

Pictures, vids and more to follow soon.....only have a few of the kids mostly, but don't mind posting pics of them...since I kinda like them. Need to get them cleaned up and re-sized.

    Glad everyone enjoyed the .308

The .50 was amazing. The boom is

The .500 and .460 are in a league of their own. Thanks again, Chuck!!

My gf and I had a great time. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and put ugly faces to names. Everyone was generous and just as kind as you could have hoped for. The food was also GREAT! Thanks to all for everything each and everyone put forth to make this happen. I had planned on returning, which unfortunately I wasn't able to. I know I missed out on a lot after I left. Again, Thanks EVERYONE and also to the great hosts at Hicksville Gun Range. (I am def going back there)
These are some of the better looking pics we took.

Well, after the masses left I finally got a chance to break out my new Ruger 10/22 and Elbe took a go at it.
Since she had never shot it, she did some some warm up shots on shoot-n-see targets not shown in video.

She is NOT shooting left and a little high but rather just clipping the axe blade at the upper left edge where it curves rearward.
Note on the second round how after she popped one ballon with a deflection, she quickly cleaned up the 2nd ballon.
Using CCI Green Tag round nose bullets - not hollow points.
    Beautiful job lady!!!
