I bought one in 1982 for $50. Carried it a few times in the service. I still have the original leather sheath as well as an Assault Systems nylon sheath. No box but I think I still have the original receipt. Serial number shows it as 1981 production. I’ve looked on line some and the asking prices for similar vintage knives vary from about $200-$500. Does anyone know if these are reasonable prices or just wishful thinking? I doubt I’d sell it but I hardly every take it out of the safe any more. Adjusted for inflation what I paid yields $152.14 so selling it for $200 would be a shitty return anyway, but $500…hmm.

Big money are the older gray handle versions, without the box and carried/sharpened you are on the lower end of the magic sliding value scale but $200 isn't unreasonable. Collectors are weird.

Years ago my dalmatian ate the sheath of my MKII. That stopped me from carrying it as I haven't been able to find a replacement.

Assault Systems was one of the first places to make cordura holsters and bags. The knife sheath is pretty cool. I think it’s someplace in a big cedar chest we have where all the nylon bags, holsters, and slings end up. I probably need to go through and clean that up.

I located a leather sheath on Ebay. Not original but hopefully it will do the job.
