Yup, I went ahead and took the plunge. Bought the kit with the liquid, strips, tape, etc. GREAT stuff. I've found LOTS of useful stuff for it to do, and it does them all well. From highlighting the timing notch on my 86' silverado flywheel, to dressing up sights on my XD. Wife has the thin strips on her flashlight so she can find it on the nightstand, and we even have it on remotes and light switches. Been VERY pleased with it. Also, the liquid sets up nice and hard and if you follow the directions (clear fingernail polisher) for the sights, have not had any come off during normal cleanings (5 or 6 since applied).

Make the leap, glad I did.

Does it require light to "charge" before it glows?
I have a night stand safe so I'm wondering how effective it would be against those things that go 'bump' in the night...

I don't see a problem with a quick bump from a flashlight from my position. If something goes bump, I grab a light (LED G-2) as well as a pistola...quick flash of the sights and I'm in business.
