    I was wondering if Idpa rules allow a g17c to be used, I found a good deal on one and want to start shooting idpa thanks.

    Depending on how good the deal you could snatch it up and buy a regular barrel to install. Not sure in the rules would still catch you for have the cuts for the ports in the top of the slide.

    Thanks for the replies im gonna got to my first idpa shoot this weekend in temple and dont want to be outta compliance. Im just gonna shoot my 23 then i will buy a 17 thanks again

    The 17c would be legal with a non-c barrel. But, just a little advice, get a G34. For IDPA, it is the way to go.

    I have been shooting a G34 for about 2 years now. Next to the 1911, the G34 is probably the most popular pistol.
