I carry a Ruger EC9s and/or a S&W SD9 depending on how I feel. I recently bought a Henry AR-7 and went a little nuts on AR-7.com. The resultant ½AR-14 is now in my bug-out bag. Figuring if one .22LR was good two .22LRs would be better, I started looking for a .22LR pistol for my EDC go-bag. Thursday, I went to my LGS and looked at their few .22LR pistols. I picked the used Taurus PT-22 with rosewood grips that had been in the display for several weeks. It, a spare magazine, and a non-original hard case set me back $216.98 after taxes. I took it home, loaded both mags, walked out back to the creek bed and test fired it. It didn't miss a beat. The DAO trigger pull was long and heavy but smooth. Accuracy at 10 yards was acceptable. I'm happy, and the little Taurus is riding in a pocket holster with the spare magazine and a 50-round box of .22LRs Ina pouch on my EDC go-bag.

My 22lr is a (gasp) Heritage Rough Rider with the 22LR and 22WMR mags for ammo versatility. Figure the revolver reliability isn't a bad thing for a 22. I've had plenty of FTF in all kinds of 22LR ammo, so would rather just fire another cylinder than clear a jam in a semi-auto.

    Nice!

To fill the role of a tiny 22, I have a Sterling 302 that I paid $95 for new back in the late 70's. It's always functioned well, but my failing is that I never bought a 2nd mag for it, and I have a hard time justifying the cost today...

You bastids....... Why? Why did you have to post about that website.....
    Misery loves company!

My "AR-14 0.5" has a bead blasted ventilated barrel shroud and bead blasted adjustable pistol grip stock. Luckily, they have been out of the threaded shorter barrels, or I'd have more in accessories than the rifle cost.

    Have fun!

To be fair, if it hadn't had the spare magazine, I wouldn't have bought it. There was a new TX-22 in the case with 2 16-round magazines, but it is almost as big as my SD9 and was priced at $299.95 (That's still below MSRP.). Nobody has any KelTec P17s, CP33s are over $500.00, and those things are huge.
