Whataburger has a great breakfast. Honey butter chicken biscuit.....

I like the burgers but ixnay on the mustard.

I have driven Houston to Dallas for a weekend. Did a few things with the family. Went to in & out twice.

My wife is a California girl, she is pretty upset I moved her to one of the only major cities in Texas without one.

They announced building on in Stafford.
I guess I'll be taking the kids to more Skeeter's games.

The "Al's" that Arlington natives will remember was just north and west of the old toll road (I30) on 157. When they finally sold out in the seventies it was a community event that everyone wanted another greasy burger from the flat top grill! The place was packed as well as the street.

I much prefer this place to Blue Sky. And if a certain someone on this forum doesn’t agree, why do I always see him there?

The one and only time I purposely went to Austin for something I stopped at a burger bar place and it was actually pretty good but with all the weird yuppy type skinny Jean people walking around I had to get the hell out.

HopDoddy? It's a little pricey but pretty good. My wife loves it, I prefer the dive places like Top Notch or Crown and Anchor. There's weird skinny jean people there too, though. Actually, they're everywhere here and believe it or not that's far from the worst of what you see.

We had a Twisted Root but it closed down before I was able to try it.

Hruska's in Ellinger, Dairy Cone in Columbus, Pivo's Ice House near Fayetteville, and a dive of all dives called the Real Deal Soul Food Cafe in Weimar all have outstanding burgers without the freak shows (usually).

A buddy recommended them to me and I am in Uptown quite a bit so I tried it and meh, especially for the price. Village Burger Bar is close by and a great burger if in Uptown or West Village. Try it out if there is one close to you.

Where is this, Dallas? I didn't know Hopdoddy had expanded beyond Austin.

I'll try to check out Village next time I'm up there. I don't think we have them in Austin.

We were in Ft. Worth last year and I tried to go to Kincaid's but it didn't work out.

But they weren’t voted the best in Abilene.

    We like that place.

These votes are sometimes a joke.
The ballots used to only come out in the newspaper so the only way to vote is if you got the newspaper.
China Star, one of the nastiest Chinese places in town, won Best in Abilene for several years running. I always suspected the owners bought a whole lot of papers and made him employees sit and fill out ballots every year.
