Going to Elm Fork today

In a bit I am headed out to Elm Fork, going to be in the tac bay. Anyone want to join? Come sling some lead with me.

Just got back and holy crap it was hot and very busy. If I had arrived 10 minutes later I would of had at least a 30 min wait for the tac bay.

I was down on the 50 yard rifle range shooting FMJ then hitting the steel plates with my 1911. Just missed you. It was hot but not too bad on the 50 yard range since I was seated in front of the fan!

I will go another time. most likely next weekend if I get my 308 back from the gunsmith, the barrel is getting threaded and I had to take my scope off it so when I get it back it will need to be rezeroed.

Yeah a bunch of us regularly visit the range on the weekends, just give a heads up and someone typically pipes up to join in.

Ill keep an eye out for the next outing. Love that place but the heat can be brutal. I practically live over there when the cold weather hits. Sunday mornings are my favorite.

I use to go ever other Thursday night when Texas Combat Shooters was still around....good times

I try to be there at about 0845 and stay till about 1400. Its not to bad if they have the swamp fans running. They spray a mist of water to cool the air.
