Whelp, I caved. The price + rebate was eating at me. I went pawn shopping yesterday and struck out. Next, I was outbid the Gun Broker deals I thought I had. In a moment of weakness, I placed my order for the 686. Worst case I could probably flip it without losing too much if it doesn’t work out..

I did find a 4” SW 586 M stamp for $500, but it looked like it spent its life on the bottom of a tool box. Same place also has a 4” SW 19-4 in nickel but it had dings on it, some rust speckles and scrape marks on the cylinder and they want $750 for that POS.

Not a CZ expert and never owned one, but am interested in at some point. Question.....is this not pretty much the same gun as the Shadow line without the color? Thing looks like a carbon copy.

Shadow 2 is the next generation/upgraded version of the SP-01. IMO, the changes make for a better shooting experience. The S2 is heavier, larger under cuts, better ergos, larger beavertail, target sights with fiber optic, and other changes. It makes for a faster and flatter shooting handgun, and also IMO, a much more aesthetically pleasing firearm. These changes come at a cost, however, the standard S2 with no optic cut can currently be had for $899 at multiple online retailers. I figure the non OR versions aren't selling as fast anymore. Regardless, for what you get, it's a steal.

Hmm. I Don’t know anything about this model in particular.
I’ve got a SAR B6 that I would not say compares favorably to my CZs.

Tell us your experience please. Does it stovepipe, FTF, bad grouping, etc what specifically. I've not shot the B6.

B6 is plastic, so compared to a P10? Not much machining on those except slide. Sometimes one gun shoots better for a person because of the grip, so fair comparison test would be this vs CZ75 side-by-side. I stay away from most plastic firearms as I'm boomer.
