    Any thoughts?

I'd like something good sized, for intimidation factor if needed, say 4" blade. Preferably that can be horizontally carried and USA made. And not too spendy.

I've got a sweet Joe Watson blade but cant figure out a way to semi-discretely carry it. I tried a Blade tech clip but it sticks out like a sore thumb and isn't easy on/off.

I like the BK14 aka Eskabar.

It's marked ESEE, Becker and Kabar...triple threat! lol

It's got the Izula handle with a Becker/Kabar BK11 (Becker Necker) blade size/shape. 1095 so easy to sharpen and sparks well on a ferro rod.

Plus you can find them in the $30-40 range.

Man oh man! These are some great looking knives. Glad you started this thread Robb. I have been looking into the same thing - I really want to carry a fixed blade, but I don't want something hanging down my leg scaring the plessies in the population (those which I'll call "The 95%).

I did a thick para cord wrap and it feels great. Still thin but a good grip for carry.

It works great cleaning deer, but if I cleaned a lot of them if buy a second one and put solid scales on it so you don't get blood and tissue stuck in the cord. Or I'd leave it skeletonized.

ETA: it comes with black cord to wrap it and there's tons of YouTube videos with different styles of wraps.
