i have an old iver johnson super shot 8, 22 cal revolver that belonged to my grandfather and i would like to get fixed. its a top break and is kinda cool. if you know of a trustworthy gun smith that i can take it too. let me know. thanks
I'm looking for one as well to fix a "low and left" sight issue with a PX4 Storm SC. (no it's not the shooter, 3 different people have the same problem. 2 right handers and 1 lefty)
Doc's in Carrollton is good but usually has a long wait, Williams Precision in Hurst is also good but they also have a long wait.
I got my last 1911 trigger job done at Advance Gun Works in Roanoke the wait was only two weeks and I thought they did a decent job.
Ray's used to have good gunsmiths (three at one time) but I'm not sure if they even do gunsmithing anymore.
Seems like gunsmithing is a lost art, used to it seems every town had a decent gunsmith and a good engraver. These days when you find a good 'smith the wait can be over a year due to their backlog!
