I live in the DFW area and wanted to know who some of the better gunsmithes in the area are. I'm trying to start modifing a rifle and wanted to know who the best would be for bedding the stock and for doing some barrel work. I'd like to add a muzzle brake. Also do yall know the advantages of the different styles of bedding, like whats the more accurate style and stuff like that. I'm trying to make a really accurate rifle Chambered for a .308 right now. For those of you that are very familiar with Remington rifles, do yall know if the Remington 788 action is based on the Rem 700 action or are they two completely different actions.

I've used the guy at Elk Castle a few times. He's the only one I know of, but has done good work on the jobs I've needed done. He must be pretty popular because there was a 16 week backlog when I dropped my pistol off in January and I think it is a little bit longer now.
