I've been using it at work somewhat since it came out, and, overall, I like it. There are still some issues with certain pages (Facebook for example), but this is just an early beta release, so you can't expect it to be rock-solid yet. For the more technically inclined, here's a link where you can find the most recent builds of Chromium (the open-source name for Chrome basically). These builds incorporate the most recent bugfixes contributed by the OS community:

Chrome for me lags when using shockwave and .pdf files. Other than that it's been smooth sailing.

I use it for applications that do not run well in IE or Mozilla. By running well I am referring to the memory management and allocation for streaming applications.

Cool post, thanks for the info, I'm gonna try it. I already run firefox, so I'll try out the new Google Chrome and see how it compares.

    I LIKE Chrome

It's fast, and usually works well for me, the one exception being Youtube - I get an error saying, "Sorry, this video is no longer vailable" when I use Chrome to view videos that still work in IE.

Like the speed, and the improved memory management, though.

Chrome on my computer won't even load the Youtube site. Works just fine with Firefox and IE. Its a pretty new Browser so I'm sure Google will get the bugs worked out pretty soon and get a new release version.

Actually, it's BETA also. I love the speed, but there's too many things that aren't ready for full time use.

I uninstalled it but would love to try it again, once it's more "street ready".

One thing I hate about it is it doesn't allow you to use the scroll option that's now on many computer mice that allows you to click the scroll wheel and left click and scroll up and down a page fast.

The browser if pretty fast and opens up a lot of pages that for some reason my Firefox browser won't open but IE opens. I just don't like using IE its too unsecure.

OK, here's the Chrome fix for Youtube, it runs out that Kaspersky AntiVirus is the culprit: "Hi, I had the same problem, worked fine with mozilla, not with google chrome.
I would say, check your anti virus.
Personally I use Kaspersky, with web protection activated, and this is where the problem lies.

How to fix without disabling the web protection :

Go to the web protection tab, then click on "configure", click on "customize", then change the traffic scan method from "buffering scan" to "streaming scan".

Now close and open google chrome, and it should work fine.
This is a workaround for my problem, hope it helps, and it may give some hints about where to look for those who don't use Kaspersky, I assume other antivirus may behave the same way."

Chrome is a very rough beta and shouldn't be used on production machines of any sort.
(it's called "beta" for a reason)

I wouldn't even install it on a home machine. I'm still not even a fan of Windows Vista. This computer I use has hardware that only has Vista drivers, so I'm not able to go to XP. I even had to download a ~200MB patch to get Visual Studio 2005 to compile/build my code that I write on Vista.
