    I think Vortex rings would be a good choice. They are rather robust, unlike some of the other best mount rings. Although I use American Defence myself but that's only because I'm content with what I have.

    I’m all for not buying bargain rings.
    With that said, the only ring failure I’ve experienced is from my over-tightening the mounts on bargain rings.
