    Ive always had that impression of it too. Never really interested me enough to ever own a rifle chambered in it
    Underwhelming in a rifle, it's kind of nice in a pistol though...

    I put together a 300 BLK pistol several years ago with a spare receiver I had. A very nice gentleman (can't remember his name) sent me a couple of hundred rounds of some 210 grain bullets and a new 300 BLK barrel came with it! It's very quiet even without a suppressor. Someday I'll get a suppressor and expect that to be super quiet!

    I have run a 16 inch 300BLK upper for six years now. It is hell on hogs and deer inside of 200 yards. I have taken it out to 500 yards on steel targets, but wouldn’t shoot game at that distance. The Barnes TSX 110 grain loads are devastating. I run a 10 inch upper pistol for my travel gun. My 16” will do 1.5 MOA at 100 yards. That’s good enough for me.

    I will say that if you are just getting into this cartridge, you picked a bad time. With that said... it is a solid round. Think of it as a .30-30 in an AR platform.
