You can ask me as for I've been shooting the 300bo for 45 years( it's pronounced 4 to 5 years)!Yeah, but the rest of us are still having fun and learning things. Well, at least I'm learning things.
I have run a 16 inch 300BLK upper for six years now. It is hell on hogs and deer inside of 200 yards. I have taken it out to 500 yards on steel targets, but wouldn’t shoot game at that distance. The Barnes TSX 110 grain loads are devastating. I run a 10 inch upper pistol for my travel gun. My 16” will do 1.5 MOA at 100 yards. That’s good enough for me.
I will say that if you are just getting into this cartridge, you picked a bad time. With that said... it is a solid round. Think of it as a .30-30 in an AR platform.
