Shit, she makes so much I pay taxes on my small disability and social security. I mean I paid for social security my whole life only to pay again thru taxes. Now they conveniently phuck with the "you make too much money line". I guess I knew that was coming cause free shit costs alot and they gotta get it somewhere..

Well I can appreciate the sentiment but it's your money, you might as well take it back. Also, don't think there will be no repercussions. As you said, this offer will no doubt make Nancy come out with a huge tax hike proposal.

I do think there will be significant consequences if they do this, that is one of the reasons I do not want to take it. The more people take, the more will be the negative consequences on our economy. I think President Trump will be making a big mistake for the economy by doing this, one that the taxpayer (not the millennial skells who will not work) will have to pay off for many years to come. It is a means to assure reelection being put forth as a grand scheme to save our economy and keep us well fed and housed but we already have a system in place to handle that. What we have already to assist out of work workers are called unemployment insurance (for those laid off), workers' compensation (for those injured and sometimes for those who became ill at work), food stamps or whatever they call it nowadays (maybe SNAP) and there is always welfare if needed.

I remember standing on the cheese lines more than once when a kid because we were dirt poor and even though my mom worked and provided for us we were not making it. Yet, because of the help we got a couple or few times, I was never hungry when going to bed (cheese sandwiches are quite filling and grilled cheese sandwiches were even more appealing). So, these programs have been around, a long time now, to assure we can at least survive when not doing as well as we would hope. Yet with that said, I have heard zero talk about these preexisting programs being brought into full force to help anyone due to this Corona Virus madness. All I have heard about is the government is planning on giving away free money (that's gotta come from somewhere, like our pockets) and my guess is all that going on is President Trump trying to assure he will be reelected after or while this mess is still ongoing. If you were to think anyone would be against bailouts like this you would think it would be President Trump or at least I would have thought so. Seems he is becoming quite liberal with the taxpayer's money during this crisis.

Our President WORRIES about "the little guys & gals" who will lose their jobs & can't pay even their minimum bills.

Thus he will help the "little people" make ends meet until this MESS is over.

Fwiw, IF I was a minimum wage married guy with kids, who was laid off for a few weeks, I would take the cash & be grateful.
