So, I recently turned 30  And the wife wanted to surpise me with something awesome... She had taken my hints and has presented me with the completely awesome Sig 556

As a handgun guy I am feeling overwehlemed (in a good way). Now I am wondering what kind of scope, what brand of ammo, and any other accessories that I should have... Any suggestions from those more knowledgeable than me would be appreciated.

And here is a pic of my "family"

Congratulations to you on your birthday, wonderful collection of guns, and your luck in wife selection. Since this lovely lady has already been spoken for, would you folks consider adopting me?

You've got a good wife and a good gun collection.A nice aimpoint would look nice on that 556.

Very Nice Collection Mac. I finally got a chance to do a field strip and I gotta say "why the heck have I not gotten into AR style rifles before!" Here is a pic of my beauty all broken down :

Yep. Great birthday and a great wife!

Don't sweat 30. I am about to hit 35 and it seems no different than 30. It is 40 that is flanking me. I can't seem to get position!!! :)

Hey TJ Willy. Everyone is telling me that the 30's are the best and I think I am starting to believe them. Don't worry about the 40's out flanking you. Jab and Move, jab and move!
