    2-Day Tactical Rifle Fundamentals Course

    17-18 AUG 19

    Cresson (DFW), Texas

    Max 12 Students


    The Tactical Rifle Fundamentals course is a 2-day event focusing on the use and practical application of Tactical Rifle. This is an entry-level course that will focus on Safety and Fundamentals. Shooters will receive extremely detailed fundamentals and shot group feedback, establishing a solid base for advanced skills. The techniques presented will be appropriate to set the foundation for weapons application in a tactical, combat, hunting, or sporting environments. I am committed to ensuring that each attendee receives adequate personal feedback and attention, as a result, this course has a hard limit of 12 students- without exception.


    Training exercises will include:

    -Rifle selection and Set-Up

    -Clearing and Safety Procedures

    -Maintenance Techniques

    -Marksmanship Fundamentals

    -Load/Unload/Reload

    -Customized Zero Analysis

    -Grouping feedback at zero distance, 100, 200, and 300 yards

    - Confirmation on steel out to max distance (students usually are successful out to 500yds, some beyond)

    -Malfunctions

    -Shot Placement

    -Prone supported, Prone Unsupported, Seated, and Kneeling Positions

    What Should I Bring?

    Range appropriate attire.

    Be comfortable and dress for the weather. This training is designed to work on the fundamentals. Unnecessary gear can over-complicate training and decrease your ability to absorb the training. Keep it simple.


    An open mind. Some of the techniques shown may be very different from what you may have seen from other training groups. The techniques are, however, used to train by Tier 1 Units.


    Required Gear:

    **The Aimpoint T-1 is not permitted in this course**

    -Tactical Rifle w/600rds (may self-regulate for a lower amount)

    -Rifle Sling (VTAC recommended)

    -3 Magazines minimum (more is better)

    -Method to carry Magazines

    -Knee Pads

    -Shooting Mat (or carpet section)

    -Shooting Rest (or backpack)

    -Cleaning kit with Oil and Rod.

    -Spare batteries for all equipment

    -Active (digital) hearing protection

    -Eye protection (Clear, Amber, and Tinted recommended)

    -White light flashlight or headlamp

    -Ability to hydrate

    -Bullet Coefficient for your Ammo. (Call your ammo manufacturer if not known)


    Recommended Gear:

    Red Dot sight or Scope (The Aimpoint T-1 is not permitted for this course, the T-2 is fine)

    Tactical Shooting Gloves

    Hat

    Camp Chair

    Inclimate Weather Gear (training is a go- rain, sleet, or shine)

    Knee Pads

    Elbow Pads
