Lots of traveling under this gray head of hair, never made it back to Texas to stay. Ended up in NC, not so bad if you don't mind chiggers, mosquitos and of course no good brisket.
Hope to enjoy the conversations, maybe somewhere down the road show some pics of my time in Luckenbach.
Not so bad there if you don't mind pulled pork instead of brisket. Watch out for the Eastern NC sauce...too much vinegar and pepper for me(now that I think about it, that sounds like Texas BBQ sauce!!!). Cousin has a bluegrass band up around Raleigh-Smithfield..."The Grass Cats"...good show if you catch them playing nearby.
Welcome to TGT! I lived in North Cackalackey for a couple of years. Some nice mountains, coastline and mostly nice people there. Much prefer Texas BBQ....
Thanks for the welcome, I do miss the hill country. maybe some day.
Have given up my pistol shooting, hands too shaky, eyes too dim, blah blah blah, still have a full set of Ruger M77V's that I go out with a jug of sweet tea in hand, plop down and reach out and touch things that are too small to see... life is good
Brisket... ahhhhhhhhhhhh, beef ribs, good TexMex food,
