This is some of the most intentionally argumentative crap I've ever seen. We know what we mean, we know why the cops are called, we KNOW why they show up. Because they were called. Why is that difficult

    +1

    SandyHookPD: What is your emergency?

Caller: There is young man with a big black gun walking towards the school.

SandyHookPD: Uh ma'am, that is legal as long as it is not within 1000 feet of the school, and it if within 1000 feet it is a BATFE problem not ours. bye.

You want it to be normal and accepted again? Then WORK WITH THE COPS! If they ask you what's going on them cooperate. If they say you can't, them move on, go home, or whatever it takes to end the situations and fight it at the next city council meeting, NOT ON THE STREET.

Get out of here with that common sense!

Ask permission to legally carry a gun and be very polite and maybe you wont get into trouble
if you think you might get into trouble appologize and go home like a good citizen

Could you imagine people back in the early 1800s during the formative years if this nation being so afraid of liberty
    and freedom?

Its a good thing that Lewis and Clark didn't worry about getting permits from the indians before crossing the frontier

    Now that's funny. :)

Seems like a lot of this could be fixed with a simple change from "calculated" to an actual mental state in the penal code: intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or negligently."

Personally I'd only support "intended to alarm" as the others are far too subjective in this regard. It would also require the officer document an intended mental state as an element of the arrest, so if it couldn't be proven no valid arrest could be made.

On e again, you have twisted words to be intentionally difficult with a simple solution.

You don't leave because you lost. You leave because on the street you WILL lose. You can fight to get the problems fixed by attending the city council meetings, hiring a lawyer if needed, or a number of other ideas that are 100 times better than beating your chest to the cops on the street who have no choice but to show up.

Or you can get yourself arrested, give the liberal pansy who called you in another win, and make us all look bad.

Your choice. Ego can be a very dangerous thing.

The Louis and Clark comparison is stupid.

He is also trying to presume one or two incidents are the norm for the entire state for the last 100 years and any years going forward. And that every single police officer will behave the exact same way as it was done in these anecdotal cases, which he has very little information on, as he did not even know the grisham case started with someone calling the police. it is the textbook definition of "going full retard".

you just made an ignorant statement. We spoke about after TPD arrived but never covered the narrative prior to that. Of course I knew some jackass called in on Grisham because they were alarmed.

again, just take off this morning with your long gun.. don't ask permission from the police first, and just go walking and see what happens and get back to us on how it turned out.

Just came back from a walk with the dog. No issues.

Must suck to live where you live and be too skeered to do the same.

I support the passing of the open carry bill. I would OC but only under certain circumstances. I wouldn't OC in any city given the chance that some idiot would call in and exaggerate the situation. But I would definitely OC back home in Borger where I know the sheriff, police chief and police sgt, and most city officials. Not to mention Borger is very red and folks there wouldn't give two shits if they saw a firearm.

And armed teacher, principal, janitor, parent, etc... stop young man w/ big black gun if he decides to try and harm anyone in the school.
