Nice looking guns! Just curious but, how do you like that Magpul PRS stock? Eventually I'd like to build sort of a DMR/SR25 type AR and I liked the idea of using that stock. Does it hold adjustments pretty decently? Being Magpul, I'm sure they're excellent quality.

    Thank you, sir!

I really like the PRS. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny in my opinion. It is extremely sturdy and I am confident it could be used effectively as a club if you ran out of ammo. :D

The adjustments on it are quick and positive - not too coarse or fine to make adjusting a pain and they do not budge when being handled less than gently or under recoil of repeated follow-up shots.

I liked the PRS so much on my SPR-ish AR I got one on my PTR-91 for that MSG90 look/feel. I would say if it can stand up to the wondrous recoil of a delayed roller locked HK clone, rest assured it will hold on any AR style rifle you decide to put it on. I would say that its' weight increase (while ensuring a sturdy platform) is the only negative.

In the end, if you decide the weight increase is not worth the functionality it affords, Magpul stuff has a decent resale value and it would probably be easy to unload without a substantial loss.

Finally have something to contribute to this thread - my first AR's ever. They're both built on Spike's Tactical lowers with 16" bull barrels, flat-top uppers, floating hand gaurds and collapsible butt stocks from JT Distributing in Abilene. I did two because I got a really good deal on the lowers and I'll give one of them to a son.

    Hey retrodog!

I was one of the guys at Marksman. Thanks for letting our friend shoot your MP5. :D
You're welcome. I gave up the waltz so that I could rock & roll. ;)

I think I'm gonna be working on my MP5K this weekend. It wasn't working smoothly but I found out that I was using the wrong ejector lever in it. We'll see how well the "F" ejector works if it gets in today.
