So the AG blocks the sale, which court reviews the sale? A court of one's peers? What if they say no sale? Do you go to court immediately to defend yourself? Are you blocked for months while the court further investigates? Does whoever put you on the list publicly testify?

NRA is loosing my support real fast here...
Does anyone have a link to the bill text that Cornyn is proposing? Having a problem finding the actual bill text (google fu not strong today).

The NRA has sent two alerts in the past 24hrs urging members to call their reps and request they reject all proposed gun control bills. They included the numbers and reps for the extra lazy.

I emailed again since Cornyn won't clear his voice mail and no one will pick up. I guess since one of them is his bill, his mind is already made up either way.

I couldn't find the Cornyn text either. Perhaps they are Amendments and that is why. Either way, I did find these gems.

To prevent a person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor hate crime,
or received an enhanced sentence for a misdemeanor because of hate or

Shelia Jackson Lee may be my least favorite elected official of all time, that was cemented well before this bill.

It took me about 40 calls before I got through to cornyns staff. Was not able to get through to Cruz so I left a message. I'm not really worried about how he will vote.
