Who the Hell don't like the smell of Hoppes? Damn
Yep, first time I used it my wife thought I was using her nail polish remover.Outside the smell is not bad, but inside or confined space it is strong
Not that I know of but all I have been doing is unscrewing the top and wetting my patches and brushes.Noticed it comes in a pump spray, does it come in a liquid
Yep M Pro 7 is all I use now. Will check it out
Boretech works the best and has almost no odor

I was just reading an article about removing water that has been mixed with oil. Very interesting that some oils can absorb moisture.I use a 50/50 mix of Kroil and automatic transmission fluid. They seem to mix and I don't see any separation when the bottle has been sitting for a while and after cleaning my rifles still have oil present for a few months. Kroil is hygroscopic so I wouldn't use it for long term storage oil
I use a twist top applicator bottle and small brushes and a cloth to apply/clean/lubricate only the areas I want to. My rule of thumb when using it is don't use it around/on anything you don't want ruined and I've had good success for the 2 years I've been using it. Did not know about it creeping into scopes, good info.I was just reading an article about removing water that has been mixed with oil. Very interesting that some oils can absorb moisture.
Kroil is some serious stuff. I've been told it can creep into scopes and fog the glass inside.

I don't like the smell either, so I got a big bottle of Break Free and use that along with spray cans of carb cleaner. Works well.I use Hoppe's 9 to clean my firearms
I made the bad decision to fill some soviet oil cans with Hoppe's 9 and put them in my BOB without thinking about the strong smell ... now it stinks of gun cleaner
Is there a gun cleaning fluid that doesn't smell and can store in my BOB
