    I may be in college station tomorrow on unrelated business and may treat
    myself to a new handgun not knowing the area where could I go to fondle
    a few weapons ?

    Other options include Burdett and Son, Gander Mountain, and Academy. I've bought from all except Academy. Their info is available on the web as well as far as contact info goes. Champion is the best selection and usually the cheapest as mentioned before. I've gotten burdett's to beat 'em but the selection is nowhere close. PLUS Champion has an indoor range to boot.

    From looking around last weekend Academy had the best prices, Gander Mt. had the best selection and the highest prices, way higher. Champion was a real gun shop with an indoor range. The staff seemed knowledgeable and were not pushy/hovering over you while you looked.

    Didn't make it to Burdett and son.
