****Mods if this fits anywhere else better just move it.

I tore down my old gum range shooting shelter and replaced it
Set a new 20ft container built a workbench inside so I can work on guns and do some reloading
Installed a roll up door in the side and built a new 12x12 overhang

Installing a 200 watt solar panel and system to have some electrical service also
Eventually will add a raised roof on the container for heat insulation and have the inside spray foamed

I like that. It will be a while before I start building my range. I like the container idea. You should set the bench up inside container and shoot in air conditioned comfort.

I got the roof panels screwed down completely today
They came from my FIL when his garage got a new roof from hail
I kept all the sheets without dents and used them for this roof.
    Saved me $250

Later this week, I'm installing the solar panels on the roof and the controller inside
That reminds me, I need some grommets and wire keepers.

Very nice! If I had that setup my GF might actually want to go shooting more often. We've talked about putting a tin roof over the bench for years but haven't got around to it. Here's a 3 year old pic when I was out with my armalite.
Having a covered shooting bench makes all the difference and my old cover had a wind break on the north side.
This new one will also when it's done
