Yeah well white is a spectrum of light and not an ethnicity or race but people still classify me as such.

Being on a gun forum is going to skew the results... so not really "scientific" of course... but hey, the anti-gun crowd does the exact same thing.

Personal purpose? Depends on the firearm. Some for historical reasons, some for building and learning the mechanics, defense, hunting, target shooting... My grandfathers first gun is mounted on the wall, my 1911 is next to me when I sleep. Both firearms, but completely different reasons for having both.
