The El Paso Times reported there was a raid on a gun store in Demming. I did not even know there was a gun store in Deming. I wonder if it has anything to do with the case in Columbus NM? Where the chief of PD was selling gun to the Mx cartel.

"Authorities reportedly uncovered a bunker of ammunition in the barbed wire complex"

That's all the story really says......will be interesting to see what the charges are. Is it illegal to stockpile ammo??

"Those who sell firearms knowing that they will be illegally smuggled into Mexico to arm Mexican Cartels share responsibility for the violence that has been devastating Mexico," U.S. Attorney Ken Gonzales said in statement.

Hello ATF... Take a Looooooog look in that mirror.

On six subsequent occasions, between April 20 and July 29, the Reeses sold 16 firearms and more than 7,000 rounds of ammunition -- removed from its packaging and concealed in black canvas bags -- to an informant and undercover agents, thinking the buyers intended to illegally smuggle the firearms and ammunition into Mexico, the indictment charges. In the process, the Reese assisted the undercover buyers in providing untrue information on ATF firearms transaction records, according to the indictment.

Greed and ignoring the law as in supplying weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels where wholesale murder is the daily occurance demands swift and sure punishment but thousands of Dollars and shyster lawyers will likely get them off much too lightly ! But it won't bring back to life any innocents murdered by cartels with weapons these Americans sold to those murderers down there....Perhaps in their afterlife, the gun smuggling scum will be correctly tended to !

The compound, which sits on dozens of acres, has a windmill, power generators, storage sheds and an open garage with several military-style vehicles parked inside.
Sounds like my dream house! Actually it does sound a lot like my house, just replace military vehicles with rusting Italian sports cars

Maybe they were smuggling arms to private citizens so they could protect themselves from the cartels and corrupt government? Yeah, probably not...
