Gunsmith in the North Houston (Woodlands/Conroe/Spring)

I'm looking for a gunsmith in the North Houston area to:

• Remove the old factory barrel and install a new Remage “pre-fit” drop-in barrel with barrel nut and recoil lug. I already have the new barrel that is threaded and chambered.
• Headspace for 7mm Mag
• Thread barrel for 5/8x24 adapter.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I second using these guys for all firearms as they have worked on my guns before. Don is such a great guy to talk with and he will make you laugh and he makes fun of Thunder owner.

Now for shotguns I use Feland Gunsmithing in 290 area north of the Beltway. He specializes in competition shotguns and gun fitting but can work on anything.

It’s been there for like 10+ years. They moved twice since Allen went into business.

I wouldn't go to Lohman's in Spring. I paid him cash when I dropped of my dad's old Franchi shotgun barrel for cerakote. When it was finished, he had forgotten I paid cash and wanted me to pay again ( no receipt). After getting that issue resolved, he brought me the barrel. The chromed area had overspray all over it. His response? Functionally it was ok and the Chrome was covered up when the gun was assembled. My thought? His work showed poor craftsmanship, I would have gone elsewhere had I known.
