    The report is very much a one sided story. That said, the report stated noting of an attack, and that he shot the dog as it was leaving his area. If this is fact, then it was not self defense and a good arrest.

    I had a feeling there was more to the story.
    The article I posted didn't have a lot of detail in it.

    Just made me curious in one of those "should this ever happen to me" type of situations.

    I have to agree here. Probably more to the story though.

    Fishy. The guy fosters and trains dogs for K-9 units and the DoD? Why the hell would hell would he react that way to a 5-year old Retriever? The guy has to have some exposure to attack trained animals. Something doesn't add up.
