I took my Kimber Pro Carry 2 to Jason Tumbleson in Humble to have it cerakoted. Mainly just for aesthetics. The gun looked great before, but it also looked just like everyone elses 1911.
I told him I wanted Burnt Bronze Upper with a flat black frame.
He looked at me a little funny and asked if I was sure. Which I was.
I photoshopped a mock version on my pc before I went to him.

I got a call Monday that it was ready. Stopped by after work and....
It was just absolutely fantastic!! He did an tremendous job with it.
The even said it was the nicest he had ever done. He was skeptical on the color combo, but after he saw the final result he loved it.
Full Cerakote of the slide and frame with all controls cost about $175. Took 2 weeks.
I will bring him more work in the future. Great guy. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

Not sure why he was surprised by the combo, they're manly / gun colors. Looks great.

    Ashame it's JUST a 1911. :p

Tell us more about Jason Tumbleson. Does he just do coating or does he do other gunsmithing type of things? Does he have or work out of a shop?

Jason does a full gunsmith work. He is a firefighter for a regular job and runs the gun shop in his free time. He's done some trigger work on my Glock for me. Great job!. Got it down to a 3.5# pull with a new connector and a polish job. $25. Look him up on facebook. Tumbleson Arms.
