A guy let me shoot his derringer with a 410 shot shell so pretty much no barrel. Felt like someone had wacked my palm with a sledge hammer.

SSK barrel is 14" and IMR 4198 is a pretty fast powder compared with most extruded stick propellants
Proper grip design is important when recoil is gonna be a consideration
