Has anyone ever seen one of these? Supposedly it's a factory laser sight for the S&W 10xx series

I can't find any information on them or another one anywhere. I even called the company (they were acquired by Steiner Optics) and they said that it outdated the oldest files they had from the merger. He was very helpful but couldn't tell me a thing.

One version of the FNX 45 Tactical has a Vortex RMR on it from the factory. That's just one example

I had one of those (or extremely similar) back in the early 90s for my Ruger P95
It wasn’t the best laser..it had 2 set screws to adjust the laser and after running a few magazines through it, it would always move a little.

It would fit the 45 series too. but nobody made holsters. Many brilliant LE supervisors were scared they would be sued if they allowed their use.

Read closer, factory made, not just installed. My money says the distributor installed it.

Who installed it is really not my focus here. Just trying to get some history and info on it in general, not conjecture and nitpicking how I worded the post. I knew S&W didn't make it.
