Welcome to TGT! Always a treat when a brother of the Patriot Picket drops by for even a virtual visit. I don't think you'll have much trouble fitting in here. The additional dosages of "Freedom" and "Texas" may be a big change for a refugee from the People's Democratic Socialist Republic of Marylandistan, but they have remarkable curative powers.

I'll strongly second the previous suggestions to make your Texas visit in more than virtual form. The beer is cold, the BBQ is great, and every breath you draw is sweet perfume to the soul. There will be a brief period of disorientation as you become used to dealing with polite and friendly folks on a daily basis. The training required to get a Texas LTC is about the equivalent of what you have to go through in the PRM just to be able to purchase a handgun and costs about $300.00 less.

    First, welcome.
That's a good question. I spent a lot of years working in the building in which she has her offices. I've spent plenty of time in her district. I've spent way too much time on the elevator with her.

I think the honest answer to your question is that she genuinely possesses a talent for self-promotion that boggles the mind and she's deluded herself into believing she's as good as she says she is. There's just a complete lack of self-awareness in that woman. She can say the craziest stuff and people just ignore her because she's so stupid. But come election time, she's out there taking credit for everything and giving emotional speeches that get her votes from the low-information voters who populate her district.

She has a lock on that district and those of us who care about rational government have just given up on it.

Welcome from another 'refugee' from Marylandistan! I still have a couple Daughters and a couple grandkids left behind the enemy lines. Move here as fast as you can, then work on getting your family FREE. Just like the illegals, get where you need to be and then bring your extended family as soon as you can .
Texas reminds me of Maryland, 20 years ago. Friendly, hard working, and most here pride themselves on their honesty. Not like Marylandistan has become - a land of anger and mendacity.
