New to this forum. My wife and took the CHL class back in September. Sent all the paper work and it has now been over 60 days. Hers has been approved, but mine says still processing.
Hope to learn some stuff here.

I applied last May after class in late April. Got it in October. My past is squeaky clean too. I called them a couple times. They were nice, apologized, and told me they were overwhelmed and understaffed but catching up.

Bottom line - the 60 days is deadline (law? not sure) imposed by folks not actually doing the work and written well in advance of the post 2008 election rush. Application quantity is way up from last year. At the ground level, it happens when it happens. I wouldn't worry but it might take longer than you'd prefer. - Kevin
