Hey again everyone... Sorry to be a pain but I have a few messages I can't respond to... It says I don't have permission and to contact an admin... How am I supposed to do that if I can't message anyone?

You should be able to now. You’re over the 25 post mark.

Sometimes there's a day's delay between hitting 25 posts and getting full privileges.

Try to PM me. If that doesn't work, we can try to hash out your problem here.

If you don't want to do that, the "Contact Us" link on every page should work for anyone.

Yeah I don't have the option to PM you... I will wait 24 hrs and see if that works! Thanks for the help!

Welcome to TGT and west Texas! We moved to west Texas last July, in Littlefield. We are on the opposite side of Lubbock from you. We left northwest Iowa for warmer climate and good folks. We have found folks here to be pretty friendly, though it was a little difficult last summer at first with the pandemic. But we just make it a point to say hi and listen. I have a few friends now who have invited us to come shoot on their property and maybe thin out some grass rats too.
    :asniper:
There is going to be a friendly shoot at the Spirit of the Wind range this Saturday at 9:00 am. Consider this an invite! It is located about 8 miles east of Olton on highway 70. It is a bit out of the way for you, but if you feel like it come out and meet some good folks and shoot some steel with your favorite centerfire pistol. Cost is $20 and you will need about 100 rounds. And, yes, we practice safety always!
I think you will find west Texas a great place to live…lots of really good folks here!

You could hit George's for breakfast or the place on the north side of town. Have you tried the range that's west of us87 and the last county road south of Lubbock?

Finding a place to hunt in Texas, well here is a little story. My doorbell rings and there is a guy at the door in military fatigues and he asks me if he could hunt on my property. We talked a little and I gave him permission. He found me by using an app, I am not sure which one but perhaps this...

As others may know, I have no problem with people that respect the land using my property. And so he has been able to hunt and has success with deer, ducks and lots of hogs. I do not charge anything.

So, perhaps with the app you can get a lead on finding a spot. Best of luck and welcome to Texas.
