    Hello.
I'm a Met PC from the UK, just searching for stuff about firearms in the US, specifically Texas.

In truth, I'm looking for someone to give me a job.

I'm a qualified and experienced firearms and first aid instructor, I'm a qualified and experienced (and SIA Licensed) bodyguard and I'm currently with the Specialist Firearms Command (Glock, MP5, G36, TASER, L104 baton gun, if you're interested).

If there is anyone out there who can help, I'd be most grateful. I can provide a comprehensive (and true!) resume, and a Texan referee, if it'd help.
I'll keep my eye on the forum, and keep trawling the web sites.

Welcome aboard ! Texas has changed a bit since the Wild West, we don't "Shoot the SOB because he needed killing" any longer. The judicial system does it for us now and since we have more lawyers than criminals it only takes twenty or thirty years from the verdict and decree to the actual thing. Just kidding but close to the truth.

Lots of guns, lots of firing ranges, lots of hunting, and lots of elbow room....

San Antonio just got $8 Million from the Fed to hire more police officers, you might start there. There will be a steep learning curve for you in the Texas police... they are all armed (pistol / shotgun usually), but your subgun certifications might help you get on the SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) team in a few years.
