I'm wanting a small frame carry gun for when I dont feel like carrying my XD40. there is about $80 difference in price between the two guns the keltec being the cheaper. I'm just not sure which way to go.
I use to have a PT111MillPro and liked it alot. Comfy to carry all day, and no bad experiences. Can't say about the PF-9, I'm not familiar with it, but between the two, I prefer the double stack magazine of the Taurus.
Owned both. The Taurus is thicker and heavier, making IWB carry necessary. It's slimmer than the XD, but not by much. The Keltec's size and weight allow easy carry in a cargo pocket, maybe slacks depending on your build. If your primary purpose is for a back up to an XD40 (which I've also owned) I'd go with the PF9. If you want a primary carry to replace your XD, the Taurus might be small enough to justify. Recoil and control was about equal in my opinion with a slight, very slight nod to the Taurus.
I've had both and as much as I love my Mil Pro's, I have 3 of them, the PF-9 is my favorite pocket pistol and my go everywhere gun. I deop it into the right front pocket of my dress slacks for office carry and it completely disappears. I had a problem right out of the box with the PF-9 not shooting to point of aim....or even close for that matter. Gunshop sent it back to Kel-Tec with one of my targets and I got it back in 2 weeks shooting like a match grade gun and dead to center of point of aim. I also have the Kel-Tec P-11, and other thatn the looooonnnnggg trigger pull I really loke that gun as well. It is actually my bedside gun since the PF-9 joined the family.
