Your list has two trucks and a macho mobile. If you are comfortable with your masculinity, get a prius.

    Army1911,

I rented one of those for 30+ days, because it was CHEAP.

It reminded me of a roller skate, "wouldn't get out of its own way" & drove like a POS, too.

You took me seriously? I have a bridge in Brooklyn that you can buy cheap.

    Army1911,

A whole LOT of those "4-wheeled abortions" are sold/driven in SATX. - So how was I to know how you felt about "roller skates"??

    yours, satx

If the Ford has an EcoBoost, I’d pass.
If it has a Coyote V8, that’s a good choice.

GM did a lot of good things with the Gen V LT V8 in the Chevy. The AFM issues from the past aren’t so prevalent, but I still disabled it electronically in my ‘15. These motors/trannies will last.

It would be a toss-up for me between the Ford and Chevy. Would come down to specific equipment like rear gear ratio, 4WD, interior amenities etc.

2015 Jeep Wrangler with 123k miles for $18k?!?

Hell, you can find a 2005 LJ with less miles on it for less than that! Mine, which is NOT for sale, has 105K on it! Who the feck puts 123K miles on a Jeep in five years?!?

Plus, not only are you getting a better Jeep, but it has the rock-solid I6 4.0L engine and you won't have to live with the stigma of driving the minivan of Wranglers!

There are better options out there!

If the Chevy has a 5.3 I personally would avoid it. I owned a ‘13 GMC with the 5.3 and the AFM is junk. The one I owned the motor was weak and wouldn’t pull a Peter out of a lard bucket.

    My choices are:

    2015 Jeep Wrangler $18k 123k mikes
    2014 Chevy Silverado $18k 113k miles
    2014 Ford F-150 $19k 92k miles

    Other suggestions are accepted
I have a 2014 Z71 that I bought new. No transmission issues. I only have about 35k on the odometer so cannot comment on the higher mileage. However the truck runs good and the only issue was the AC compressor failed with less than 3,000 miles, and it failed on a 100 degree day.
Was repaired under warranty and all is good since then.

Being a Wrangler owner, I'd go for the pickups. A 5 year old JK with that many miles is overpriced with reduced features. I'm currently driving a JL and Jeep finally made some good upgrades when they switched over from the 10 year old platform in 2018. The Wrangler won't haul anything but it puts more smiles on your face with the top down/off.

    JK’s really hold their value.

The 14 has a redesigned Gen V engine with 60 more hp and a ton more torque at lower rpm due to VVT.

    Not many parts interchange.

    Edit:
AFM is total different as well. Supposedly to address the issues.
