Loving the Henry. Favorite thing besides the smoothest action ever felt in a lever gun...the fiber optic sights!

These are very sweet rifles, I have the same on. Wanting to add a 38/357, 30-30 and 45/70 to the collection but they have gone retarded with the prices. I paid under $700 for mine a couple of years ago abut now the sell for $1k and up.

I got mine from Wiley's about a month ago or so. He had one of the three that was older so I got it for $949. All the newer ones were a bit over $1000. Kudos to Bill for not raising the price on mine, I would have never known had he not told me. Honest dealers are very hard to find.

I recently inherited a significant collection from a family member, one of which a Henry Big Boy. Have not shot it yet, its brand new in a box. I always thought these were more for "above the mantel" rather than shooting, but I am ignorant to this type of rifle. Evidently, these Henry models are extremely well made.

The one Orbit posted, now that is pretty.

Makes me feel good about the $820 price tag on mine.

Small mom and pop shop in the Cheese state btw. Only one they had.

Wanting a Marlin Dark but not paying the current prices for one.

Lever guns are "putting dinner on the table" rifles. A well made one will be the most accurate, reliable rifle you can shoot, and with practice you can get quick follow-up shots.

A poorly made one will piss you off to no end.

I use mine to hunt pigs. I am mildly anal handling it out in the field but our hunting is static in several home made blinds and using a shooting brace. It gets the job done…. Go shoot yours, it’s good fun!

Oh I do shoot it...been out with it twice already and will be many more times. It will never be a safe queen. I shoot all my rifles and pistols. I got this Cimarron .45 LC to go with it...
