Sorry in advance for the stupid question but I just have to know this. The other day I grabbed a .270 win round (Remington Core Lokt 150gr) out of the box and placed it tip first into the barrel of my Mossberg 100 ATR .270 win. Don't ask me why I did that, I really don't know. Maybe I wanted to see how far the bullet would fit inside the barrel. Anyways, I found the bullet didn't fit all the way in, about half was still outside because the diameter was too big. I didn't force anything, I just merely placed it on top.
So is this normal? Like I said before, forgive me for the stupid question, but I just want to know that when I pull the trigger my barrel won't explode because the bullet was too big.
