Well my friend you just lived though it. It does not matter what you think. Its what the law says.

Having looked over Kentucky Statute chapter 503, I don't see a clear justification for shooting Taylor. Maybe 503.050 could be applicable, but 503.085 and 503.090 don't seem to help the cop's defense. Maybe if they thought there were no other people in the dwelling, 503.050 could stand up, but unless their prior investigation showed the suspect lived alone, they were making an unreasonable general assumption that most people live alone.

Without a release of evidence, there is no way to really conclude what the cops actually saw and since they chose to keep their cameras off, we may not know.

I think it is more likely that the cop(s) had a target when they fired based on the number of times Taylor was hit. I say "a target", something to shoot at. Not necessarily someone they can say had fired at them or had a weapon. She was, like most people here say, was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

laws are not black and white. If Taylor was between cops and her bf, charges not likely

if she is in another room hiding and is killed by the jackass firing randomly into the apt, he is likely charged

If her name, home and car was on the warrant, wouldn't that tell us that she had been investigated and that she was involved in whatever the police were executing the warrant for?

Just asking a question so don't jump my shit.

    TXP,

Are you a fan of the bm movement or antifags?

Or am I reading you wrong?

    Thanks!

I am no friend of the B_M movement or Pantifarts. Communism as a form of government is poison. These new Socialist Democrats need to be voted out and resisted. The Constitution is not an outdated piece of paper. I am a law and order kinda guy that believes the laws apply to everyone, no matter how much you may like or dislike someone. I love this country and the State of Texas. I try to be a good Christian, but I am only a man. Hope this clears up any confusion you might have Mowingmaniac.

I tend to think independently and avoid the crowd, so I often get mistaken for the other side because I'm not fervently shouting with the crowd. The mentality of late that says "You are either completely with us, or you are completely against us and will be dealt with as the enemy" is something I loathe. It is a corrosive mentality that will dissolve this country. There is only One that can apply absolutism with perfect judgement.

I've known many police officers in my life and I hold them in high esteem. The vast majority of police are good people trying to do their jobs with integrity. I support them up to the point they act outside the law or to the detriment of the people they are sworn to protect and serve. If it is a policy I don't like, then it is the policy I point the finger at. I won't 'encourage' them in enforcing that policy, but I will not stop supporting them overall.

Its the bad cops that I think must be dealt with in a timely fashion and to the full extent allowed. Not all cops are angels or wizards of PR, but if they betray the public trust, maybe they should move on to another career if they don't change their ways.

It could. Her boyfriend could just be a worthless POS that didn't have anything in his name. So to be able to collect evidence, they had to name her because she was the lawful owner/renter of the properties. I have no doubt the police were investigating her also because of her association with the boyfriend.

I think there were enough mistakes made on both sides of all involved in that execution of the warrant, that left Taylor dead at the end of it. 1st degree murder requires the intent of malice to commit murder. U don't think that happened in the least. I could see possibly manslaughter, or negligent homicide being applied as charges against the officers that fired rounds that killed Taylor.

But nothing short of a public hanging is going to appease these people that are protesting. They sure as hell don't want to hear the truth, and they sure don't want justice. Remember, her family has already settled out of court for over $12 million dollars. Now tell me this is about the truth, or justice, or any other noble causes? Because it isn't. It's about furthering a political agenda.

And I'll go a step further. People are known by the people they associate with.

Hang out with thieves, and people will think you're a thief, even if you aren't one.

What is the bm movement and the antifags movement ? I've never heard of either one of them.

Well, sit back and let me tell you.

Once upon a time in a far away area known as the NW US, there were these gallant do gooders that rose up to fight the horrid Orange Man. They called themselves Pantifa. Sadly, they were not able to crush the Orange Man by themselves by burning down only their own cities. They joined forces with the Be-dark Lives Matter, an ally of the righteous Demorats party. Together with their Sorrosly de Benevolent backers they began a crusade to burn down mostly their own areas nation wide and skate around on streets in the name of their own flavor of premium, sour justice. /S

Fair enough, but generally when you quote someone's post, you are in some measure replying to them.

I obviously don't post much because I'm not the 'sharing my feels' type of guy, but when I do, I mean what I say and can occasionally put those thoughts into comprehensible sentences.

TXP, if you believe what you posted, then I have a challenge for you. I want you to dig up and read a bunch of cases where officers were executing a "no-knock" warrant, on the wrong address, or the wrong people, from wrong provided information, and the residents were fired upon, and either injured, or died from shots fired by the officers. Tell me how many of those officers have been prosecuted.

I'm fairly certain that I already know the answer!
If you can show that a majority of those officers were prosecuted and fired, and convicted of murder, I'll believe what you posted about the law and police officers.

Hate to wreck your train of thought, but BLM and ANTIFA predate Trump being in office.

The "boyfriend' on the warrant is not the same guy that was in her apartment and shot the cop. Not sure if you understand it that way or not.

I guess I don't understand your post because I can't tell if you are trying to be cute or funny or what. So, I'll just overlook it. But thanks for trying.

Just recently had 2 white citizens murdered in Houston, by the police.
Absolutely no reason for it to have happened.

    No rioting....
I agree - no reason for it to happen. Lead investigator lied, had informants that didn't exist, altered legal documents to support his statement.... Did I miss something? And pretty sure that SOB is gonna rot in prision.

    ETA: Correct NO RIOTING!
