The CDC may have bought the brush, but someone else painted a picture they wanted others to see.
And left off more common ways children die each year. And they are all preventable. They are just accepted as "reasonable everyday activities". So they don't count.

And I wonder how many "kids" were involved in activities/groups where gun deaths should be expected... How many of these are gang members or committing crimes at the time? That would paint the picture much differently I assume.

It wouldn't matter silly, apparently getting rid of guns will also stop the gang problem as well.

If they are really worried about children, why don't they do the statistical analysis on kids injured and killed in or by cars.

Answer, cars are a luxury and not a right.

You are right, there is no constitutional right to own cars and overwhelmingly more people die, including children, from automobiles. There is also no coalitions and campaigns aimed at taking automobiles out of anyone's hands.

At face value, I can take any statistics and skew them with no context to make most anything look bad. They intentionally leave out information to make a point in their favor. MSN is about as liberal as they come and I would expect nothing less from them to give a narrative that is skewed to the leftist view.

Allot of details missing from those stats... 53% are homicides, the largest group effected is African American boys 13 to 17. With no percentage conveniently given.

Fake news trying to paint the picture most convincing to sell that our rights need to be stripped.

At least liberals have bigger a fish to fry (Trump). We get at least a 4 year extension on our rights not being dampened further.
