    Paranoia is a thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs concerning a perceived threat towards oneself. In the original Greek, παράνοια (paranoia) simply means madness (para = outside; nous = mind). Historically, this characterization was used to describe any delusional state .

    Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

    I'll admit to being mildly paranoid, but it's actually saved my ass more than once.

    Same here. They have a lot of power over the average citizen, most people will never question them, and they basically answer to no one.
    ..............
    Answer to no one? What world are you living in?

    Start acting like CITIZENS and not SUBJECTS. If a LEO is acting unprofessionally, report them. If you are getting eye f#$%ed at a resturant, ask them if you can help them with anything.

    Don't cower to them as this just feeds their egos{ the ones who have this attitude, LEOs that do not fit this description please do not post here defending those who do} Remind them from time to time that they work for YOU.{ the time to do this is not when you are being pulled over for 10+ over the speed limit}

    Call the Internal Afairs Unit if you see bad behavior. On the same note, call and give praise and kudos to good LEOs. Remember THEY are the public servants, not the other way around. Assert yourselves, be polite , and tell them to come back with a warrant.
