Hermann Museum of Natural Science

Greetings,

Does anyone know if the Hermann Museum of Natural Science has a 30.06 sign posted?

I am going there in the near future and am wondering if this is going to be an issue or not.

It has been awhile since I've been to HMNS, but I do not recall ever seeing a 30.06 sign.

This actually has me thinking, it would be good to have a stickied thread, not for discussion, but for confirmed 30.06 or metal detector equipped public places; ie. city, county or state museums and zoo's etc. Places that aren't otherwise restricted (none should be)

The problem is getting 100% certain and confirmed information. Hmm, how to do that???

Of course. Why not? IF they come across someone with a gun, and IF they don't want people carrying, legally or not, they can then provide the appropriate notice. You leave and return unarmed, of just leave.

I'm not sure that happens often, but a good example is the State Fair of Texas. You go through security check which includes people with wands checking everyone (usually) including little kids. If they find you have a gun, you let them know you are licensed and in my case, although I offered and started pulling out my license, they just smiled and told me go on in.

The State Fair has security and metal detection in place but does not restrict legal carry of concealed handguns.
