What dumb, unsafe, or just plain annoying things have customers done that you wish they would change?
I'm willing to bet this could be quite educational even for the most ardent among us who think we're doing everything "right." I'm not too big to admit I'll probably have done at least a handful of things y'all may reply with.

Spend twenty minutes negotiating price, coming to an agreement, and then walking away with "...well, I will think about it."

I can take the lies, moronic comments about "this one time in the Marines, we...", and the general unwillingness to listen to actual professionals, but that is really annoying.

    I am an RSO.

People pointing guns at things they shouldn't is #1. It doesn't matter if your finger isn't on the trigger, or if you've been handling guns longer than I've been alive, or if you say the gun is unloaded. The 4 rules are there for a reason.

People who refuse to take a few shots at a shorter distance to check to see if they are on paper before moving to 100 yards. Certain exceptions here but a round or 2 and 20-40 minutes seems like a better investment than chasing your own tail, spending multiple hours and hundreds of dollars worth of ammo.

Also, more of a personal thing, people who ask what i think of a gun, and then once i tell them my opinion, reveal to me they have already bought it.

99% of the time its some SCCY/Kel tec/FMK thing

People who price check while you're showing them a gun.....leaving you standing there with awkward silence.........it's rude as hell.........

People who want to show you their loaded EDC.........it's loaded.....leave it in freaking holster.............I don't need or want to see your XYZ.........I've already seen them......

Folks who tell you they have shot at your range many times, then ask where everything is and act like they have never been there before...........

I think the only time I pushed the guy at the counter was when I was hemming and hawing over buying a 1911, and he hands me a Remington R1 Enhanced. I looked at him cross-eyed for a second, and he said check it out, you might be surprised. I was, it was tighter and smoother than I expected. Told him if you can get me out the door in 15 minutes I'll buy it today, because I had to pick up my kid. He got it done. Gave him asking price though.

I stopped going to Hot Wells for your #1. Every time I was there I think I had a gun pointed at me. The RSO kids there missed everything.

I've probably done this one 'wrong' a few times, because I've had the RSO step toward me and then stop mid step when he saw what I was doing. I've rotated the gun (action open) toward the light to see down the barrel to make sure it was clear after a shot didn't sound like what I expected. Still pointed down range, but the lighting in many indoor joints is so poor it's hard to see without finding something bright enough to bring some light in. After noticing their behavior I changed mine, and just use the flashlight on my phone if I need to check for a squib. Thankfully have only ever needed to clear a single one (Freedom Munitions).

Like just walk away, not even a thanks? That's pretty weird, and yeah definitely rude.
