Hey there, figured I'd do the intro thing. Brand new to Texas, just transferred here from Maryland (The People's Republic). I'm a Federal LEO living and working in the San Antonio area. Hopefully I'll never have to go back to MD but I already miss the crab cakes. I like to shoot obviously, and I was/am pretty active on mdshooters.com so hopefully I'll find that kind of community here. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome to the forum and the state. Unfortunately we can't do anything about the crab cakes, but the gulf shrimp more than makes up for it.

Welcome, there are some "people's republic" places in Texas, fortunately they like to congregate in places called big cities, mostly, in Texas. Good thing Texas is a big state.

Annapolis has some of the best seafood I've ever eaten.
Gotta say, my cats wouldn't eat a crab cake.
    That's some nasty stuff.

    Helotes!
Welcome, I lived in Laurel and Glen Burnie for a while, and my Dad was originally from Baltimore so I am an Orioles fan!

However, much like you I got to Texas as quick as I could and don't think I'll ever leave. It's just that damn nice here and especially so when it comes to guns!

    Cheers! M2

Welcome to Texas; God bless you for the work you do, and God provide you never must return to live in a Peoples' Republic.

Try the sushi at Fujiya, it will go a long way toward improving your assessment of the seafood down here.
