I know that I have my scope set low for 100 if it has to be dead center I am fine with that. I am not saying I will be a winner I just think it would be a cool challange for the 30 cal bullet shooters.

If it did, it would be impossible to get an X. Bullets wouldn't be big enough.

The standard target could probably work for it though.

I saw no reason not to include .338.

The issue with all calipers is that in order to get an X you must punch out the entire center ring of the target. If you make it small enough for .223 to do it a .308 has a huge advantage. If you remove the advantage for .308, anything smaller than .30 cal can't punch he ring and is once again at a huge disadvantage. The targets have to be sized for the intended caliber.

I see no reason others couldn't compete, they just probably couldn't win unless everyone with a .30 cal rifle choked.

To the .338 comment, there really wouldn't be any advantage to having a .338 at 100 yards, the benefits just don't show that close. There will be more advantage between rifle styles than the caliber will offer. The very slight difference in bullet diameter would be fairly negligible.

Hell, I'm game. Is sitting ok? Prone is out of the question.

Agreed. Some of us simply can't get down to prone and still be able to get up unassisted, anymore. Old, broken bodies & all that.

    Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

I don't think shooting position would matter.
