I got on a cleaning binge a few weeks ago while bored and working only 15-20 hours a week.

Damn I had to pound and beat and massively torque on some cans to get them apart.
Sparrow, M.I.S.T., Crux Saxon9, Gemtech GM-22 and two Ti-Rant AACs to be specific.

Ya. Ya. None had been apart since some time in 2018.

If'n I cleaned more frequently they would be more user friendly.
I wasn't terribly abusive but 18 months and 1000 rounds each is a wild-ass guess. 3,000 for the Sparrow 22 can maybe!!! It was 1/2 full of that .22 epoxy-like ebony stuff.

    Question.....
Do any of you grease/lube everything prior to reassembly to make life easier???

    Maybe.

BTW it's old-school but coating all the internals with grease definitely makes cans quieter for a short while, as the energy of the report gets dissipated by pushing and smooshing the grease around I think!

My can is at AAC right now because it was seized up. AAC said they sometimes put loctite on the threads. Was planning on asking them the same question when they get mine
