I sometimes will play around with Google Maps - looking for interesting places, seeing what the terrain looks like on satellite. Came across an interesting spot yesterday and a church camp that included "Hill Country" in its name - it seemed quite a ways west-southwest of Austin in some arid looking country and it got me wondering - what are the generally accepted bounds of the Hill Country? I believe this camp was located near a town called Mountain Home.

I would have probably gone further West - included Leakey, Concan, Junction...

Camp Wood is the western edge of the Hill Country; head west from there and it is pretty flat and getting towards W. TX. Highway 90 is pretty much the southern border and I35 from SATX the eastern border. The norther line is harder to define. I would guess Brady, San Saba & Killeen. Alto Frio Baptist Encampment is towards the western edge of the Hill Country along the Frio River and is a beautiful spot. The Hill Country Natural Area is just outside Bandera and is a great place to visit especially if you have one of the Texas park passes.

    What's wrong with Kerrville?
    You are around there.......

Went Wednesday morning to do a delivery on Hwy 27 on the Northern part of town. I hadn't been there in quite a few years since I got into a argument with the manager and got banned.

It just seems like it's growing really fast kinda like what happened with Boerne and what is currently happening with Comfort. Too many assholes ruining the small town environment. That's just my opinion and really biased view.

Sorry for your issue. I haven't run into anyone that's been rude. 'Shouldn't let one person turn you off to the whole town, IMO.
Don't think that I hate the town or anything like that I'm just saying that it seems like it's growing too fast like most areas around San Antonio. Felt like everyone driving around had the same attitude as people from any big city.

I would never hate any part of Texas because it's my home.
